If they were to reward the 1st pick in the draft based upon organizational need and an actual refusal to tank and lose games, the Flames would have locked it up tonight.

Unfortunately, a team like Colorado with Duchene and Landeskog, Nashville with Rinne and Weber, Carolina with the Staals, Skinner, and Semin, or Tampa with Stamkos and Hedman will win it.

Guys, guys!

I have an idea. Let's keep Kipper, and the rest of the team, and then sign some UFAs, And then WE GO FOR IT!!

Way to go Kip.
Problem is that it was the Wings that packed it in tonight. Flames didn't even play that great.

Winning is still better than losing. I don't give a f*** what anyone says.

We can still win the lottery regardless and if you look at our remaining schedule there's a very real possibility of ending on a 5-game skid. So don't worry, tankists.

I realize this is bad for the draft position, but putting a dent in Detroit's playoff hopes feels pretty good.

It's incredibly sad that rich keep getting richer while the poor never get a chance at getting rich.

Kipper played well but can't say it was good or great. That goal was ugly.

Nah, Kipper was awesome!

Guys don't worry too much about playing too well to not get a bad spot. Out of the new five games, they'll probably only win one; against the Preds. Ducks, Wild, Blues, and Blackhawks should be losses.

So they win a few games and end up with Lindholm, Shinkaruk, or Monahan. Not that big of a deal.

What ever happens thank you Kipper, it was great to see you like that again.
