Realistically which one of the current top 8 teams of Detroit, San Jose, Minnesota, St.Louis, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Anaheim, or Chicago is going to miss the playoffs? The only shaky one is Detroit, and no way it's Edmonton who bumps them out. St.Louis can finish anywhere from 5 to 7. So long as that pick will be 19 to 22 overall so long as their goaltending doesn't get hotin the playoffs.

The other shaky team is the Wild. They would be my guess to miss the playoffs. The difference between third and eighth place is five points. The standings are tight so the Blues can finish in fourth still and even eighth place.

The Coyotes would be the team to bump someone then the BJs. I doubt the Predators or Oilers will make it.

Lots of goals in the second period as the Stars came back from a two goal deficit to tie the game. The Sharks have restored that lead, 4-2 after two periods.

Stars win in a shootout. They're now tied with the Oilers with 39 points. I think they knock the Oil down to 11th with the tie breaker.

Tampa with the early lead against Washington. More separation between them and Calgary would be fantastic.

Florida has really picked it up lately (by last place standards). Looking like Calgary, Colorado and Carolina are going to duke it out for the toilet bowl.

Jeez, as if having the Staals, Skinner, Ward, Semin, Mcbain, and Murphy wasn't enough, the Canes want to come in and snake a top draft pick as well? Get out of here, Carolina. Go home.

Ya you wouldn't think they'd be as bad as they have been when you look at their lineup but they've actually been worse than Calgary or Colorado over the last 10 games.

Then again the Avs have Duchene, O'Reilly, Stastny and Landeskrog up front too. Whoever loses the Calgary-Colorado game tomorrow will close to cement their top 3 pick.

The Panters and Avs still have decent teams for the most part, they just aren't playing well. The Flames have looked like they've had the life sucked out of them for a while now. I think 30th is all but locked up for us and even if it isn't, I have a feeling the Flames are goign to get the #1 pick.

Don't forget that even if the Flames finish 30th, they still have only a 25% of getting the #1 pick.

yes, but the 25% is still more than any other team would have. But even if we get 29th or so, I still have a feeling that the Flames will pick first overall.

I would love to believe that the Flames could possibly end up with 2 top 5 picks somehow....
