I recommend Tarek as well. He does hot shaves too. His new place is called cutting edge.

+1 as well. Bit of a pain since I'm in the NW, but I prefer to go there. For other times, I hit up Bankers Hall barber since it's close for me and they always do a good job. Expensive but the convenience for me trumps that.

Great Clips, can't beat the price for a simple #4 cut and you can check-in online to beat a big line if there is one.

Chinook Barber Shop in Chinook Centre across from Boston Pizza on the west side of the mall.
Been going for years. Usually no wait time, unless you are waiting for one barber in particular.
$23
I believe only the barber shop, and the bowling alley are the only "original tenants" in the 50+ year history of the mall.

I started going to TOC hair salon academy, and for $25 men cut it's pretty good. Wanted a change and was looking at a combover, and they suggested a modern pompadour combover hybrid and it turned out really well! I have crazy asian hair too, and they cut it well.
It's inbetweeen Le Chateau and sleep country canada. Looks kinda sketchy from outside but inside is nice.

It's a straight razor shave. It's called a hot shave because they put hot towels on your face to open your pores and soften your beard prior to the shave.

Lavoom Hair Salon. 403-255-9396
It is a little place across from the old French Maid on Centre St S. in the mall where the Olympia Liquor is. Suzanne is the nicest, funniest, prettiest little Persian babe you will ever meet, and does an awesome job. One of the few hairstylists you can say "Do what you think will look best." And it looks awesome. I have been getting her to do my hair for 16+ years since she first opened the place, and she is very affordable. 20 bucks for a men's cut and style.
Make sure you ask for Suzanne though, she is an absolute gas to deal with.

The barbers all do a great job.

Was good then Omar left (I think that was the fella) and it went down hill.

Used to go to the Iraqi barber shoppe in McKenzie Towne on high streete (okay I'll stop now) all the time when I lived in Elgin from 2004-2006, and it was great. Recently moved back down here to Mahogany, went back for a cut and it was a totally different vibe since Omar and the other guy with the crazy Saddam mustache (Sadeque?) have gone. Was disappointed.
Still have my McKenzie Towne vet and drycleaner that can't be beat. (Actually I haven't been to the dry cleaner lately, I'm hoping it's the same family running the show.)

don't go to mac town barber shop, especially the chick who sits on her fat ass on her stool and doesnt even bother to stand up to take ur payment... like literally laziest woman i have ever met, and no she doesnt have a walking problem. Most other barbers there are pretty meh as well...
+1 for london barbers on 1st 11th downtown, great place, both barbers are wicked, never had a bad haircut

You show up, you sit back in a chair and they wash your hair and give you a head massage, then put a hot towel on your face (whether or not you're getting a shave - it's so relaxing) and then give you your cut. It's really, really awesome.

Salon Akai in Dover.
I tried cutting my own hair one time in an attempt to save $15 - $20 on a haircut. I would not recommend anyone get their hair cut by me.
