No. Let him put up points, be put in key situations. In the off season bulk up and come ready for October.

I think eventually if there is a fire sale at trade deadline time, Sven will have to come back up - to fill a roster spot, and to quell a fan revolt.

I don't think flames will be making a push for the play-offs. I would rather see him develop and get his confidence up in the AHL. Let him take his time developing. We are in no rush.

AHL all the way. Skill development is essential. He's had a good taste and knows where to work now to be ready for October.

If he's not getting a spot on one of the top 2 lines and the PP then leave him in the AHL.

This team is headed for a top 3 pick this year so I see no reason why not, as long as he gets meaningful minutes and plays the second line and the PP.

If the reason for sending him down was worrying about competing, well that shouldn't be a concern right now.

Nah, let him do his thing for the Heat. Next year he can challenge for the Calder. If you bring him up now, it will just add to the pressure of him being Iggy's potential heir apparent - probably not great for a young player's mojo.

I kind of hope not. There's nothing to play for in Calgary for the rest of the season. Bring up Jones, bump up Comeau. Start Sven with a clean slate next training camp - and after that, I'll sure he'll be a FT Calgary Flame.

No, but 8 points in 47 games is 8 points in 47 games. -14 wouldn't tell the full story.

No, bring him up next year.

Why break up the Czech line with Backlund? They are producing and that is good for Backlund, bring up that confidence so he can become a legit #2 center.

Yep, bring him back up for the next game, tell him he's wearing #12 from now on, and that "it's all up to you now, son."

if they do bring him up, he should strictly play 1st or 2nd line minutes. Have guys like tanguay mentor him. See if he is able to handle those top 6 minutes without iggy.

Given that a few more forwards are going to be shipped out with no NHLers coming back, I'm guessing Horak and Baertschi will have to get called up so the roster is full.

I would think he will be recalled for sure, Flames are likely to move a few more players..... in the next week.

Recall Sven place him in the top 6.

Yes, but not until after the deadline. Too much drama and confusion right now. Get the rest of the trades done, settle things down, then start to move forward and bring BAertschi up.

If there are a couple more forwards out the door, sure, why not.

Barring that, I think pass the torch to the future stars of this team starting in 2013/2014 training camp as you ice a roster with more than 1 of them in the lineup.
