Should be a fun trade deadline. Those players are making the decisions easy for management, namely, sell sell sell.

Joe Thornton as a playoff rental? You bet.

I like that they're calling diving more often now (if indeed they are, I've only seen it a couple of times) but in that circumstance it's pretty inexplicable. Given the stigma that goes with those calls, that's one - like the major penalty calls when they're wrong - that I'd like to see the NHL rescind after the game when they're missed.
I'd like to see them actually call a dive without calling a player on the other team for a penalty (hooking/tripping etc.)

not with the Daniel play, that was basically the definition of tripping, but if someone dives call that as the only penalty, don't even it up

I can't remember who it was or what team, but for some reason I think I remember seeing only the dive get called.

Uh oh:

Steve Ewen@SteveEwen

#Canucks Ryan Kesler just walked down the hall at Rogers wearing an air cast on his right foot. More to come later. Practice at 11 a.m.

Apparently happened 3 games ago. Wonder if he asked them to cut it off this time.
