Wahl had produced at every level prior to that concussion.
No doubt in my mind he would have been an NHLer if not for that hit. Really changed him as a player.

Adds some size to the Heat. Too bad that Wahl didn't pan out, I had high hopes for him back then ... that stupid hit really derailed his career. I wish him luck.

This trade puts us down to 47 NHL contracts I think, because I don't believe that Testwiude has an NHL contract.

Wahl really had no future with the organization after he demanded to be loaned to another AHL team. They didn't even invite him to this past summer's development camp.
Also 2nd time Philly has taken a former Flames 2nd round prospect that has seemingly busted. The previous time was Ramholt for Greentree.

Then Philadelphia would not have had his rights to trade.

So we downgraded for no reason? Even if it was a plug for a plug?

Isn't it Mike Testwuide, not Mark?

In other words, something Feaster is looking for. If he can play 8 minutes a night without looking like a fool and hits people from time to time, I suspect he may get a look in Calgary at some point.

And another Sutter draft pick goes into the abyss. I had high hopes for Wahl when he was selected but injuries have plagued him.

Not sure how we downgraded. Wahl could only dream about putting up 39 points in the AHL.

from hockey's future.

Talent Analysis
Despite being 6'3, 216 pounds, Testwuide does not seem to realize exactly how powerful he is, even though he regularly overpowers opponents. He drives the net hard and his 18 goals prove he can capitalize on some of his chances. Testwuide doesn't have elite skill or speed, but he's a hardworking player who is difficult to play against and can lay out heavy hits along the boards.

Didn't we have a bunch of experiment Testwiude types last year to play in Abby? Why do we need to trade for another 4th line plugger?
Was Wahl demanding a trade? I just don't see the logic in doing this. He was helping Utah out considerably.

6'3 210 RW i like the sound of that already, depending on his skating and hockey IQ. Its difficult to much info on this kid? Mystery prospect.
