I can't really see a kick. Even with the ultra slowed down zoom in. All I see are two guys wrestling on front of the net.

Larry Brooks once again proving he's a homer without an ounce of sense. Kind of like NY's Eric Francis.

That series was full of nastiness. This was nothing.

That being said, clean hit by a dirty player. I don't care how much he cleaned up. The guy is a walking time bomb. I like the habitual drunk driver reference above. Bertuzzi gets the benefit of the doubt, guys like Cooke don't.

It's a pretty tough injury to swallow, when you consider their franchise player is done for the season. It's even worse when you also consider the guy who injured him should have been kicked out of the league long ago, and that the play itself should have never even occurred in the first place, since the puck had hit the mesh moments earlier.

I didn't listen to the rant, because I think Melnyk's a tool, but I would have been absolutely livid if I was the owner of that team.

time for some CSI photoshops:

John Shannon ‏@JSportsnet 53s Eugene Melnyk just told PrimeTime Sports that MCooke intentionally hurt EKarlsson and he is in the midst of a forensic study to prove it.

Melnyk is truly pathetic. I feel bad for the Senators players and their fans for all the injuries that the team is going through but I seriously can't hope for this guy to have any success. The players have moved on, the fans have moved on, just let it go.

THis is awesome. Cooke deserves everything he gets for ending Savard's career.

Karma will say that James Neal will be the next one out with a concussion.
