Extrapolating paces after 11 games is usually a bad idea, especially when it results in 10 of the 12 guys on that list hitting career highs in terms of 82 game paces.
The 09-10 Flames were scoring nearly 4 G/G at this point of that season but they ended up with the 29th best offense. I don't see that happening with this year's team because the forward lineup is much better, but it's far too early to be drawing any conclusions.

Couldn't agree more. Weren't the Oilers the toast of the league at around this many games last year?

They had to share the limelight with fellow division leader, the Leafs.

What this should tell everyone is how big of a difference coaching and systems play. This team has always had more talent than its be credited for. Sure it's only been 11 games but you can tell they are trying things they didnt in the last 3 years. The PP looks lethal as well, 2nd in the league. I'm just glad Sutter is gone.

Generally speaking, I would agree. However, the shortened season in produces mitigating circumstances that will likely result in an inordinately high number of + 1.00 point/game averages for players across the League. We shouldn't be at all shocked to see a handful of players from the Flames end the year with +35 points, but by the same token, these numbers should not be used to extrapolate what "could have been" in the course of a full season.

Yes, but that was because Khabibulin was playing out of his mind for the first 20, and had little to do with how the rest of the team was performing.

It seems it takes a while for Iggy to get going. I like that he is in the mix with assists, and at some point, you know the goals are going to start going in.
The rest of the guys need to keep it going though. I like having scoring depth... it is fun to see a bunch of guys putting the puck in the net - especially the d.

Agreed 100%, its fun and its great and itll get better when Jarmoe gets going, and to get him going, like cherry said begninig of last year, give the guy 22-23 minutes a game he'll score and he was right.

It's still early, but the improvements I think are two-fold - the hiring of Hartley and the ridding of the Sutter stench and also Feaster's acquisitions in Hudler, Cervenka and Wideman.
Hartley's system allows players to play and players that fit into an offensive system have been added.

Its better for any team to have scoring depth, so what we are seing from the 2nd 3rd line is great. Iggy has carried the cross in the Flames goal scoring for sometime now so depth is good to finally see. Once he starts getting his mojo this title should but probably won't change.
