During the summer probably 24 a week minimum, probably closer to 36. During the winter probably 24 every 2 weeks or less.

From a guy with your user name, that seems kinda low.

As for me...depends on if I have beer in the house. If I do, one or two a night til it's gone, more on a weekend after hockey

Both health and cost and also habit, drinking 8 beers a week now, it can easily increase over time.

Also if he;s drinking beer he's doing it while watching tv or something, then he buzzed everyday and can't make decisions a husband needs to make around the house.

OP are you pretty healthy other than the beer thing? I can see if your wife is trying to get you healthier and this might be something she is latching on to, because otherwise that doesn't seem like a lot at all.

After one beer a night? Sometimes up to 4 on the weekends? Really?

A pint is basically a glass, isn't it? He gets buzzed off of that? A pint a day is probably a common occurrence in Europe - maybe he should move there.

Is it bad that I'm drinking a beer and reading this thread, right now?

In fact, here is a pic I took of the beer I'm drinking right now:

Less than I wish I did.

I've been meaning to pick up some beer for a couple of weeks now. I think I had one or two when I was out with some friends before Christmas.

I don't drink much alcohol on average I guess.

During the week, really depends. If I have one Ill end up having 4 or 5 usually. Sometimes helps me sleep. Weekend Ill probably go out at least once where I participate in binge drinking. But I'm young and dumb and full of fun (kinda).

That really doesn't sound like that much at all to me. Has this risen over the years or have you drank about the same since you've been together? If its always been this much, then that's the way you are, but if it has increased recently or even over the years, she may have a reason to be concerned. Is it the beer she's worried about or is it that you're going out with the boys and she doesn't like that?

To me drinking means getting drunk, if you were doing that a few nights a week then shed be right but 1-3 beers or so is having a drink and is perfectly fine.

Did you hear that from Oprah or Maude Flanders or something?

Not as much as I use to when I was in my mid 20's, easily 24 a week not counting hockey our ball. Nowadays it is much just after hockey or ball. Usually 4 or 5 twice a week.

I'm the guy that will drink them if I have them so I avoid buying them for the house. But in all honesty a beer or two a night is no big deal. The only reason I don't is not having much time with three kids on my hands.

And getting a buzz off of a beer or two? Damn I wish. More like 7 or 8...

I'm curious to know what decisions you expect to be made that can't be made after one beer. Do you have icebergs rampaging through your house?

I buy a 6-pack Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a 24 on Friday, which lasts until Sunday night.

I think your wife is a little over the top, your consumption is more than reasonable.
