This isn't a question with a black and white answer, unfortunately.
One of the reasons most of us didn't sign up with our real names as our user names, use our own photos as our avatar, or refer to each other as our real names on the forum is because we value our privacy and will choose to divulge information where we deem it necessary.
On the flip side, there are people (Realtor 1 aka Travis Munroe) who will gladly divulge identity, occupation, etc. because it's in his best interests to for commercial reasons. As such, it's not a faux pas if we reply to posts by Realtor 1 as "Hey Travis, [insert rest of reply here]". However, if Travis went and signed up elsewhere anonymously and we knew it was him, it wouldn't be cool to just say "Oh yeah, Travis is actually 'poolboy23' on Forum X" just because he chooses to make his identity known elsewhere.

What if, hypothetically, someone were to request a jihad for a music contest, and when you went to vote for them, their real name was displayed? Would it be wrong to do a quick google search of that name along with the name of a Papa John's loving DJ to confirm your suspicions that they are the same person? And if those suspicions were proven to be true, how much of this would be appropriate to post? Hypothetically.

Do they identify him by full name? If not, then it's probably harmless.

My personal life is fairly boring, I'm sure, and I don't see why anyone on here would benefit from knowing more detail about it. I think that only one other CP member knows who I am personally, and I have only ever met a couple of others briefly while buying something or giving something away. I would expect that none of them would come on here and post something personal about me if it happened in the "real world".

At one point a group of posters who knew each other (mostly one) started using first name's left right and centre. They'd respond to a post then use the persons actual first name to respond. It was odd. There are a couple guys here I've known for 20+ years, well before we even had hair around our dickies, and I still wouldn't use their first name when replying to them.

I posted a picture of my newborn daughter because this place has been a big part of me for the past 12.5 years.
But that's all I posted, and it's just because I'm so excited about her.

I have no problem with people knowing my full name/whatever, and I give it out over PM all the time when dealing with people in real life for a variety of reasons.
Most regular posters here have common sense enough to keep it on a username basis in the open forums, as there is something about having your full name appearing here when it is googled that is a bit unsettling, especially when the ignorant poster who did it *cough* Nufy *cough* also posts your full address.
