Eventually, everyone get's touched by cancer in someway. My dad was diagnosed in 1998 and was only given a short time to live, but he beat the odds. Not without cost though. His life has been a series of treatments and operations since then and he is pretty close to the end now.

Moore's wife must have been so young. I can't imagine how terrible the last 9 months have been.

awful disease. You can see from these posts you see how common it really is. Both my grandmothers passed away from cancer(s) long before I was born. One in her 40s, other in her 50s.

My late father, cousin, and good friend would tell you to stick it where the sun don't shine if they could talk from the grave. Glad to see your sorry arse got punted from these forums.

My uncle died a few days ago because of colon cancer that eventually spread to his blood and brain. His funeral is tomorrow.

I'd love to see a thread for him and anyone else that has been lost to cancer on these boards, especially if it pisses you off.

Hell, it's very likely going to be the way I go. I'll let you know when you can start the thread.

One of my coworkers wife just recently came down with stomach cancer. He would always say hello and good morning to me every morning. But ever since the cancer thing, hes been quiet and and very emotional.

I believe she maybe in her late 40's, both their kids are under 15 years of age.

I have a hard time reading these threads. Too many memories of loved ones gone too soon.

Rest in Peace Katie Moore.

It won't do much. He'll be back soon enough. Silly how people with that kind of mindset think they can get away with saying such offensive things.

Terrible news. Yet another reminder of why I signed up to volunteer with both the Underwear Affair and the Ride to Conquer Cancer.

What I said previously obviously came out wrong. My intentions were not to say "who cares". My intention rather was to say, lots of folks die of cancer daily, and a lot of people we know, or our selves have been effected by this vile disease and I'd be more concerned by that. I was just sick of the attention that famous folks get, albeit I know why.

It pains or bugs me more when someone I know by virtue of the internet is suffering from these disease, directly or indirectly and that we should rather focus on those folks.

So my apologies to all that I offended, the post made in haste obviously offended quite a few on a very personal and sensitive subject. So again, my apologies.

The thread has been on the back-burner for a month and I had forgotten about your post; this new post doesn't help.

Completely unnecessary bump.

Who cares if a thread is bumped. The guy was coming in to explain himself.

I just want to say thanks for trying to apologize and trying to be more clear, unfortunately I don't think it will help and you will still get dumped on for it.
