I have added all players to their rosters except:
#99 Brent Sutter C (Hurricanes)
#154 Matt Duffy D (Kings)
I couldn't find their birth date yet.
Can the teams who drafted them or anyone find their dates of birth.
Thanks.
And if you see any problems with your draft picks let me know.

Cam I have Siarhei Kostsitsyn on my ECHL roster. I am not sure why he is there, he is not my property.

Thanks to all the dudes behind the scene who helped make this happen! Great job all around... I'm glad I was able to come in and make my picks in time... too bad I wasn't able to stay around for the entire draft though...

I'm not sure who his agent will be, but I'm preparing a goodwill shipment that includes:
- 1 basket of fruit
- 2 cases of 12 year old scotch
- 4 vacation packages to Venice
- a $50,000 gift certificate at Harrods of London
- 30 pair of seasons tickets at the Kiel Center
- a hand woven Peruvian hairpiece
- 6 Icelandic maidens
- a personal referral to a senior person in the treasury department of a small African country who is looking to "park" a few million untraceable U.S. dollars, and would certainly appreciate the "unmatchable integrity and secrecy that would be required with such an undertaking" skills this agent would be able to offer.
I look forward to hearing of his favourable reply.

You better keep it for yourself, Crosby's first deal will be 3 years 1.8 mils 2-way.

"Officially" perhaps...but I'm not above offering a few "unofficial" tidbits in exchange for some ongoing goodwill.

I'm gonna throw this out there - after experiencing this year's draft with no NHL draft to follow I propose that the CPHL always hold their draft ahead of the NHL draft (if only by mere days). This forces GMs to do their homework and becomes another measure of success in the league. If the NHL Draft is done already the later rounds (to a certain point) start to simply follow where guys were picked.
Personally I enjoyed this year's draft a lot more - both the draft itself and the work that had to be done heading into it.
Just a suggestion.

Plus we now have the anticipation of waiting for the NHL draft to see how close we were. I am sure some players picked in the 4th and 5th rounds will go in the 2nd...I can't wait to see!

I second the motion, I enjoyed the idea of drafting earlier than NHL. It will be really interesting to see how each team did compared to the NHL and of course who is the the lucky GM that selected the Flames first round selction....

I really like the fact our draft was done before the NHL as well. You do the homework, you take the time, your team benefits. Thats the way it should be.

mostly agree, but I did find it pretty hard (with the lockout and uncertain draft date-NHL-) to easily find information about players
I suspect in future years it will be pretty easy to get good info (ie complete THN draft edition etc) which will make it a little more manageable to do , even if it is before the NHL draft

I have to admit that I was dreading the draft. And lucky me, I was scheduled to be out of town. With that, I traded most of my picks. Then my schedule changed and I was home, with a 4th and two 5th round picks to use.
It was fun finding my gems to draft. Although my list of 20 shrunk to 3 before I drafted
