This dude needs to get a life, and perhaps see how things run in other cities around the world where it's a free for all of pedestrians, bicycles, motobikes, scooters, cars and trains.

What a moron. Not even halfway through and I HATE this guy.

Blowing by the pedestrian..even if he has "right of way" you need to show respect.
Fingering people is just lame.
Rages on the rental car guy for driving like an idiot then he cuts up between the lanes to get to the front of a red light. Wow guy.

Sounds like the cops will be looking for this guy. At the very least he'll be toning it down after reading the article I assume.

Yeah raging and driving recklessly on a motorcycle. I don't think einstien here will be patrolling calgarys streets pointing out bad drivers for much longer. just a hunch.

Motorcyclist rage is funny. All he can do is yell and give the finger. So impotent. So funny.

I like the notion of a CPS escort for this guy while he is driving. At every red light the CPS officer would run his lights, get out and give this guy a ticket for every infraction since the beginning of time. Harassment? Sure it would be but can you imagine how gratifying it would be to watch the dash cam video.

I'm not defending the guy, he's an idiot but I guess with your SUV or pickup if you go into a rage you can run the motorcycle into the ditch. That's a worse attitude than this guy has.

If you've ever ridden a motorcycle, you'd know that there are a number of idiots like you who think it's funny to intentionally cut off motorbikes or even do worse. Lets all get along on the road and give equal respect.

I don't know anyone that would think it was "fun" to run motorcyclists into the ditch.

Most people I know act like the most vigilant people in the world when they notice that there is a biker near them. It's when they happen to not notice them that troble starts.

Yep, thankfully most people are like you and your friends but I've had drivers try to run me into the ditch or into oncoming traffic and laugh while they are doing it. And no I wasn't riding in any stupid or dangerous manner.

A couple of those weren't even that bad - like the guy "parking" in the left turn lane. He slowed down, maybe he's just trying to figure out if this is, indeed, the street he meant to turn left on. Get over it.

Thing is, motorcycle + road rage = fatal combination.

Does it make me a bad person if deep down inside I'm thinking "Meh.. I'm good with it if this guy gets killed..."?

As a fellow motorcyclist I think it's just one less guy that makes the rest of us look bad.

I hope the guy gets into a serious accident. These kinds of pricks on motorcycles deserve any bad karma that comes their way.

All that said... HID's in halogen housings are absolutely infuriating and should be punishable by demerits. Seriously dangerous.

I agree, but what's the point of giving someone the finger if they have them? They'd just think you're an #######, and rightfully so.

I don't wish this guy any harm, but he seriously needs an ego check. He's not the ambassador for driving safety he thinks he is.

Looks like this guy is getting the book thrown at him.

http://www.calgarysun.com/2012/12/10...-james-hayward ~ (This is a Sun+ article, if you are watching your Sun count, just as a heads up)

Quote:
Given a court summons for careless driving, the 25-year-old motor enthusiast faces six demerit points, a three-month licence suspension, possible jail time and a fine — the maximum being $2,000.
Quote:
Foster says the careless driving charge gives the judge a chance to measure every illegal move seen in the video, “This is an overreaching charge in that it encompasses all the different examples of riding that he did,” said Foster.
They thought about going with a Dangerous Driving charge over the Careless one, but the DD charge could only be applied to the pedestrian incident, while the CD one can be applied to anything he's shown, it seems.

I hope they nail him to the wall.

Good. Guys like this are a black eye on the Motorcyclist community.

There is a mantra I was taught by a guy that has been riding for 40+ years. "There is a responsible way to be irresponsible." And most riders get what that means. This clown, does not.
