I think it would be safer to watch Canada play soccer in Honduras.

Its no joke. We got there around 11am for a Monday Night game. I kept to myself because I didn't want to attract any negative attention. However when you have a red jersey and hat on in a sea of black, you are going to get noticed. Plenty of threats through out the afternoon and finally some woman came up to me and told me that the drunker some of the men got in their group, the more they were talking about coming over and kicking my butt. I can take on one or two, but 20? I left my jersey and hat on the bus.

I'm glad I went and got to expereince Raider Nation live. However, the place is a dump and the people are basically criminals. I plan on giving just as much as I got to the Raiders fans in KC in two weeks.

Hmm. Sounds like I should just prepare for the worst for the Oakland game, although this wall pissing sounds cool

I was there Nov 14th 2 years ago and it was t-shirt weather at Candlestick, but folks from there were saying that was just making up for the really cool and wet October.

But since it is a night game it will be cool. Better to need to have a jacket and not need it than want it and not have it. And it does take a while for everyone to get out of there, too.

I suggest buying a cheap Cowboys knockoff jersey, and burn it when you get to the stadium.

Yes please!

Best way to get there? Trolly (we are close to the stadium), walk or cab?

When should I get to the stadium?

Best place to eat at the stadium?

Good place to go post-game?

We are sitting in section P11, if you could give me a little bit of an idea of what the stadium is like (I've seen it enough on TV to have kind of an idea) it would be greatly appreciated

And anything else that you may think is important!

Luckily when I booked these tickets I had the sense to get the opposite side of the black hole. I've made it aware to my significant other that she wont be wearing her new jersey to the stadium. Luckily for her, she can wear black and support her Saints at the same time with a sweater over top.

Candlestick I'm a little Less worried about although will be starting more or less fairly sober. Iappreciate the answers from you guys, and am excited to get out there. However as we will be cqbbing everywhere, our tailgating experience may not be so much taken place on a tailgate and rather walking back and forth

Any tips for going to a game in Seattle? Me and a friend are on our way for this Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Seattle fans are very passive and polite. I have been to four games in Seattle (Kingdom, Huskie Stadium, and the current one). As long as you are not an a-hole you will be fine.

There isn't much of a tailgate in Seatlle because of the limited space where it is located. The baseball stadium has a tailgate party across the street in the outfield terrace. Beer, food, and tv's showing the early games. Plus you get to see the inside of the baseball park for free.

Colour me jealous. I went 4 years ago and had a blast. I was the only Pat fan in a sea of green and I had no issues. Had a few people beaking at me when the Pats fell behind. I was the only one smiling when New England won it late.

I can't add anything to the California NFL discussion but I'll share my NFL experiences anyways. I've been to two games now, Steelers at Cardinals last season, Rams at Bears just a few weeks ago.

I didn't realize how well the Steelers fans travel, the crowd in Arizona was at least half black and yellow. Having said that I wouldn't have any reservations about wearing the opposing colors in Arizona, regardless of how well your team's fans travel. The stadium wasn't sold out (granted the Cards were pretty bad last year) and the crowd was generally very tame. What a stadium though, beautifully done. Never waited in a line for anything, and sat close to the action near the 20 yard line for $100. And the tailgating was excellent, they have a huge lawn area right outside one of the stadium entrances where thousands of people had tents set up with TV's, coolers, games, etc.

I was surprised at the amount of Rams fans in Chicago but from what I saw they didn't really get a tough time from the home crowd. The only physical altercation I saw was actually between two Bears fans. In a long beer line a guy wearing a Rams jersey was getting a bit of ribbing from some Bears fans (telling him they don't serve people in ugly jerseys, go find a Rams beer vendor, etc). For the most part though, it seemed like people were just there to watch football, which is how it should be.

Going to see the Pats next year. Anyone been?

Hit up Sluggers for your pre-game warm up. However, as the early games start at 10am in Seattle, you will need to get there around 8am to get a table.

The two games I've been to in Seattle were lot's of fun. Great stadium, and a good atmosphere. You'll appreciate how well timed an offence has to be to run plays against that crowd having to go on a silent count. That will be a good one with Seattles defence at home against the Patriots, who I expect will try no huddle with silent count. The Chiefs game I was at, the crowd was in it till the Chiefs were up like 18 points early in the 4th quarter.

I wore my Lions jersey to Oakland, and while the Raider fans weren't exactly hospitable, they weren't overly threatening either. They do the faux-intimidation thing, getting in your face and growling or whatever, but if you take it good-natured and laugh it off, they laugh and go their own way. We sat in the corner by the black hole, with the skull and skeleton guys all around us. I don't think it's worse than anywhere else in the arena. After all, those are expensive seats so those guys are probably software developers or something Momday to Friday. Or drug dealers ha. I'm sure it can get worse in the cheap seats.

The Lions ended up winning that game and I did cover up with a hoodie to get to the BART though! Getting out of there without incident seemed like a good idea.

As for the stadium it's not that bad. Good beer and food selections, it always seems nice and warm there no matter what the weather is in SF. It's no Qwest Field but it beats the crap out of McMahon Stadium too.

I know it's not NFL but has anyone been to a Trojans game at the Coliseum? Just wondering what to do pre-game and if I will die should I wear my Ducks jersey.

Well, I went to a Raiders game at the Colisseum many moons ago and was not comfortable the entire time. I imagine the USC fan base is quite a bit different that the old LA Raiders fanbase though,
