Calgary West voters, please help us all out. Are you Calgary West residents not embarassed to have this guy as your elected rep? With this guy, its not even like there is positives to balance out all the bad.

I tried buying a membership at one point so I could vote someone else in but the nomination vote was nixed. For a few years after the Conservative party kept calling me asking for more money - I told them bluntly each time I wouldn't donate or even vote Conservative until Anders was gone. The party and the riding association have both gone to absurd lengths to protect him from nomination meetings recently - and even if we get a nomination meeting he's known for having a strong organization behind him in nominations. You'd think sooner or later people would get sick of him, but most voters just don't care enough and automatically mark their ballot next to whoever is running for the Conservatives.

I worked the polls once in the Calgary West riding, and it is amazing how many old people and immigrants showed up. Virtually none of the voters were 18-35 caucasians. Some people would ask me, "which one is the conservative one?" before they would mark their ballot.
At my station, at least 5 times throughout the day, an immigrant family would show up and one person who looked like they knew what they were doing would direct all of the others on how to vote and who to mark on their ballot. Really quite bizarre.
Anders got roughly 70% of the vote in my ballot box.

They keep Anders around because he has the uncanny ability to raise humungous funds for the party. Yes, Calgary West is one of the wealthiest ridings in the country. Not hard to do.
Hasn't it dawned on the Conservative Party brass that they could RAISE A EVEN BIGGER AMOUNT IF ANDERS WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE EQUATION????!!

He clearly has knowledge of something that puts him in a powerful position with harper. The guy does literally nothing for constituents and only makes the news for the wrong reasons. Lots of politicians have been fired for less than this guy does in an average week! There's got to be some reason behind the scenes that he's so untouchable within the party?

You know the guy at work that nobody else can believe or explain why he hasn't been fired...
Well every place has one.

However, Moon added Anders may be placing himself on less secure footing with his party, beyond the loyalists in his own riding association.
“He’s not helpful, in my view, with the Conservative party being seen as a more middle-of-the-road party. I think he’s seen more as a silly extremist,” he said.

I'm sure to be called lots of names, but if a 'man' or what appears to be a man comes into the womens washroom, why wouldn't that make women nervous?
Keeping all right or wrong out of it, I can see that being a problem. If I dress up as a women but am clearly a man then I imagine it would be uncomfortable for women.
I assume if you get surgery and hormone treatment etc you can change your look, but I don't get the outrage of his comment. Wouldn't it open the door for any old guy to go into the women's washroom claiming to be a transgender or something?
I am not sure his position is so insane.

That's the thing, if the person is presenting themselves as a male, why couldn't they use the mens washroom? or vice versa.
We are not talking about somone who looks like Stephan Harper walking into the women's washroom, but someone who looks like his wife.

Are you seriously paranoid of an "old guy" dressing up as a woman to get a sneak peak of them on the toilet? This isn't a 90's sitcom plot. If somebody was dumb enough to try that to begin with, it's not like they're waiting for the law to swing in their direction.
"Yes! Finally, my time to shine! Watch out ladies, Im going to wear my best dress and try to look at a boob. Because I'm such an insane moron."

Rick Mercer Mocks Rob Anders (VIDEO)
http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2012/10...n_1954070.html
"I don't think the naps are helping this guy. Who would have thought the whole Mulcair sped up Jack Layton's death would not be the stupidest thing he said last week," Mercer joked. "Anders declined an interview with the CBC, saying 'I'm busy out in the shed working on a real doozy for next week'"
Check out some of Anders' most notable gaffes in the slideshow

What appeared to be a relatively attractive female used the urinal beside me on Sunday night. I guarantee that it was more awkward for me than it would have been for women if she would have used a stall in the women's restroom.
