Professional Days - What do Teachers do?

Just kidding. My fiancee is a teacher. They have a lot of meetings, sometimes workshops, sometimes team planning. If the school introduces some new technology, they might have a session showing how to use it. Sometimes they have a professional come in and teach them something they can use in the classroom.

when I was a teachers assistant pro d days consisted of catching up on marking followed by bbq and beer in afternoon

My wife dislikes them greatly. At her school PD days are just all day meetings that can't be done during the week. There is the odd workshop throughout the year, but they do take attendance.

Went to meet the teacher night the other day and my oh my the son's teacher is one hot young lady. The wife is asking questions while I am staring at the cleavage. I'll be a responsible parent some day.
