Airdrie (only 20 minutes from everywhere in Calgary) is the only cure for traffic congestion

You're right, if we nuked Airdrie there would be much less traffic. Throw in Okotoks and High River for good measure.

Take an Aerius tablet about an hour before bed....
also use a nasal spray called Avamys that I use at same time and eye drops called Patanol. That keeps it under control.

My dad swears by those breathe-right nasal strips.

You could have developed acute sinusitis. Its pretty much uncurable. You just have to deal with the symptoms. Nasal flushing. Nasal spray. It sucks.

Try an anti-inmlammatory diet. It will do you wonders. Also, stop being fat.

Do you smoke? I recently started smoking again and I'm consistently stuffy.

I know a few people who suffered constant congestion and cutting out dairy helped a lot.

If you have some air flow through the nostrils I would recommend a saline sinus wash in the morning when you get up and in the evening before bed. You can buy the apparatus which basically pushes water through one nostril out the other for not much. It is a horrendous feeling the first time and, well, every time but as someone with significant seasonal allergies it is a tremendous help.

Just be sure you aren't completely congested as if you are it will hurt your ears like nothing you've ever experienced before.

Obviously, go to a doctor first, but this worked for me. I had swelling in my nostrils every night for a month. Used the spray for 3 weeks straight, and the problem dissapeared. It also did absoulte wonders for my hay fever.

I'm not sure if it is allergies or hay fever. When I'm at home I got one nostril always plugged up, same with in my car. When I get outside though and walk around (or at school walking around) I am fine, both nostrils clear. When I sit down in class though it plugs up ( only ever one nostril). At home pisses me off because I obviously spent almost all my time there.

I have asthma and allergies and it sounds like allergies. Happened to me BAD last year with all that fluff **** flying around. Antihistamines didn't do much I just toughed it out till it was gone.

You also might be getting sick or have an infection. If it's not going away, I'd go to the doctor. I hate doctors but enough is enough.

I changed my mind, forget the doctor, just take one of every type of medication recommended in this thread, it should work.

Hay fever is a type of environmental allergy.

I am constantly congested and tried this today. It felt like my brain was sucked out when my nose opened up instantly after using it. I have had problems with the schnoz my entire life, including deviated septum and other surgeries done on it.

OtrivinŽ Saline Sea Water & Aloe
Heavy stream

$4 Coupon online as well.

I had the same issues this year for the first time. Turns out its allergies, most of my family has them so its not a surprise.

So far prescription strength Reactine and using the neti pot are working pretty well.
