Cooking Hamburger anything below 71 degrees f in restaurants in Canada is against Health Canada regulations along with other provincial codes.

That's 8 degrees warmer than the "accepted standard" for medium-rare

Well I tell you that when I go to Buchanan's the cook it medium rare.

Perhaps Mr. Burger Quest can speak to this....

I believe that has to do with the cut of meat used in their burger and that they make their own ground beef. I could be wrong but if they make their own ground beef by using 100% AAA sirloin, which is pretty much like having a burger made out of steak and since you can have a steam mid-rare you can have the burger mid-rare.

this is an old home remedy I heard from a coworker of mine, but if you mixed Oregano with your ground beef, it should kill the E Coli or any of the bacteria. But should still be cooked all the way.
