Is it me or do these types of issues seem to occur more often with small dogs? We have a boxer and have never had an issue with him, he was house trained within a week or two of being at home and was only 13 weeks old when we got him.
Acting like it's the most awesome poop they ever made goes a long way too! I remember celebrating like he won an oscar the first few weeks of doing his business outside. Now we don't even acknowledge it (He is 7).
On a side note, those PEE-MATS really GMG... People too lazy to train themselves to put their dog outside shouldn't own dogs. My mother-in-law has a small dog who uses these mats and every time she brings that dog to our house we can expect a couple of "accidents"...
