Frankly, I'm worried about unintended innocent results.
With something this scale, I agree with Cowperson, if someone had a huge file on me if wonder what's wrong with them. I'm not that interesting (oh my God he woke up went to work, ate pizza for lunch, worked until late, went home checked CP and Facebook then went to bed!).
On a smaller sale, like local police having access to our computers and Internet information, I'd be worried about something like me buying a ring for my girlfriend online, an officer seeing this and thinking "oh hey good for Jon, that's awesome" waiting a few weeks and without thinking telling someone or congratulating us Before I propose.
There really isn't any harm done other than the back pedaling, but c'mon!
As for Person of Interest, meh. There's too many of us to keep that close of a watch on all of us. When it hits the fan, it's kinda nice to be able to easily solve the problem/crime/situation.
Really, is my life any different? Really?
Last thought, surveillance has nothing to do with our ability to vote. This its not, nor will it ever be anti democratic.
