Do not understand what you are saying. That kid does deserve some good physical slaps from his parents. Then some sort of help. That's how we were raised. We all turned out great. Parents were never scared to put us in check.

I am going to be in the minority here and say I feel sorry for the 9 year old.
Any kid who does stuff like that has obviously has to deal with some seriously bad stuff in his life, including abuse like this, and probably is suffering from FASD or some other severe medical problems.
He shouldn't be unsupervised with young kids.
He needs help so he doesn't screw his life up, if it isn't already too late. His parent, who thinks this is normal, needs some real help or that kid is going to just end up in jail before he is even old enough to drive. if I was a betting man, I would bet that daddy is already there and this is just completing the cycle.

Anyway, makes my wife and I think twice about day care this January. Seriously considering working from home, or hiring a live-in nanny. I'm sure this is an isolated incident and things like this are rare (kids beating up on younger kids in a day care), but it's still unnerving.
Parents deserve a slap.

Judging from his aunt it seems like this kid was brought up in a great home.
And he's 9 people, he's not at fault for his behavior. Just take one look at his aunt and you can tell he's had a crappy upbringing.

I'd beat my kids too if they were Oiler fans. You had great parents Champion, but you just didn't learn.

The one I send my kid too is fairly strict on physical violence. My son was bit by another kid a month ago, and both sets of parents were informed in writing. I have also seen parents told that if their kid doesn't stop, that their kid is out of the day care.
Honestly, I would be more scared about the bizzarre illnesses he will come home with in the first 6 months. My little guy cought stuff I never knew existed, and at one point was home on doctors orders to let his body recover. Hand Foot Mouth,Cold, and Ear Infection all at the same time. Then back to back stomach flu with more colds. This cycle continued for 90 days of non stop rotating illnesses.
Anyways, I would say the worst part of daycare is the very thing you cannot prevent. My little guy loves day care, but man, those bugs kicked both our butts this last winter.
