I didn't get in any golf last year but got two rounds in this morning and going out to do another two tomorrow. Will come home after that, have a good nap, check out any hockey news and hit up a BBQ out in Chestermere with some family that I don't see much but they always are great hosts.

taking Mrs. Puppet to work, then probably pick up a box of Timbits to share with Little Puppet and maybe hit the flea market. I'll have to maintain tradition and do Canadian things like listen to Rush and play street hockey.

Canada Day pancake breakfast in our neighbourhood in the morning, then watching the Euro final and final round of the AT&T National. Wife is going to see Magic Mike so I'll have to look after the toddler.

Today (July 1 in Perth) we're going to a US Independence Day celebration as part of the American Club in WA. The club includes Americans and Canadians. On Friday we actually celebrated Canada Day here with the Canadian Club at an Irish bar, where they served English beer and American food. Very Canadian I thought.

I miss Canada.

Doing everything to avoid downtown by hiding in my friends backyard, moving from pool to hot tub to outdoor bar. Happy Canada Day!

I figure it's better to post this here than start a new thread:

I will be continuing to help this little 11 month old to mend.

You can see more photos here (some are disturbing)

And you can read what our typical day is like here:

I got up at 5am and went for a 30K run. Going out shopping this afternoon (odd being able to shop on Canada Day... I'm not sure why the stores choose to shut down tomorrow rather than today). And tonight I have a choice of going downtown Ottawa (obviously a zoo on Canada Day) and seeing Feist and Simple Plan, or going to Kanata to see Kim Mitchell. Leaning towards Kanata - saw both Feist and Simple Plan here about a month or two ago when they were here playing the Juno awards. Plus Kanata will be less crowded.

I'd definitely go see Kim Mitchell. I would consider going, but I don't think I'll have the time or patience to get to Kanata from downtown on the buses...

He is a surrender from a breeder who said he had "out of control allergies" which they didn't have "time" for.

What he really had:

Mange (open, oozing and bleeding wounds)

Both eyes so infected the swelling was squishing his eyeballs.

Both ears infected.

General secondary skin infection and inflammation from untreated mange.

Nose wrinkle infected and full of crap.

All four paws green/yellow with infection.

He had a fever and smelled like a corpse.
