I started on this site under identical circumstances. I know how it feels, keep looking.

Good luck. Just don't lose faith.

I didn't open this thread until I saw a poster in Prince's Island Park this morning. Had no idea it was anything serious.

We were with her last night, posting signs on as many street corners and talking to as many people as we could.

I'd actually put "Missing Person" in the thread title. Like others I thought it was a game or something so never even looked (although I'm not much help anyways).

Weird for a man his age to go missing, did he have any history of mental illness like alzheimer's? Was there a fight with a family member?

Kinda reminds me of a women in Victoria who kinda just left one day and was found in a random park 5 hours up the Island.

Maybe there is something you missed thinking about?
Ie: Was he an outdoorsman?...I hate to mention it but would he take a spontaneous trip down to the Bow river?... it's been high and can be dangerous this time of year. Im sure you have talked to as many neighbors as you could...Was he showing any signs of dementia or other illness? Did he make any new aquaintances before he went missing?

Peace and good luck finding him well

Not an outdoors-man at all, but he did enjoy walking.
67 years old. Recent stroke, and they are wondering if another one happened and has caused him to be confused as to his identity.
His car is still home. No activity on his bank or credit card accounts at all.
He walks with a noticeable gait and is extremely hard of hearing (hence the 2 hearing aids)

Saw some posters today - also given the thread on the main page about river flows made me think of this thread. Sad situation. Hoping for the best, bumping for the rest.

This thread needs "Missing Person" in the title. I thought it was a CP Jihad.

I hope he is found.

Any updates?

You've probably already done it but maybe research similar past cases where someone might have had a stroke while alone in public and find out what sort of pattern of behaviour they might exhibit such as travelling or hitchhiking or sleeping rough.

Unfortunately, nothing positive.
We did a partial river search last Saturday. From 17th ave SE to just past 22x. 36 people came out to help, and nothing turned up.
There are still various volunteers out canvassing and posterizing areas of the city, and doing river walks on a daily basis.

No new leads at all, and at this point, we are waiting for the river to calm down before doing a more thorough search of the Bow River.

Thanks. Good luck with your search, I hope you find him, I can't imagine how stressful this must be.

Just to clarify....
I have no relation to Ralph at all. Have only met his daughter once while on a search.
I've been volunteering strictly because, for some reason, this one hit me and made me think that if I were in their position, I would want as many volunteers as possible to bring my missing family member home.
But yes...I am sure that it is extremely stressful on them, and wouldn't wish it on anyone.
