Another day of 40 thousand plus at Rogers. Fans have really come out this season.

Jays get swept by the Nats, fall below .500, then turn around and sweep the Phillies.

Sure is a streaky team.

Would be nice if they could go on a 20-10 stretch here soon.

The Nats are a really good team. The Phillies are really awful team.

Hard not to get over excited about Rasmus right now.

There's still 90+ games to go. What they really need is to start winning against the other teams in their Division. They have a lot of games left against the Yankees and Red Sox, the Yanks in particular. Go 9-7 against the Yankees, 8-5 against Boston, 6-2 against Baltimore, and 5-4 against Tampa and they could find themselves able to go 56-40 in their remaining 96 games.

Do that and it's probably enough to get them into the wild card game. Essentially they need to be 7-5 in every 12 game stretch from here in. A 10 game win streak would help, but it will be about getting consistent hitting with the injuries they have in the starting rotation.

Cecil does look a lot slimmer this year though. Last years Cecil was like David Wells compared to the guy I saw today. Jays are going to need him badly if they are to have any hope.
