Fun fact: When giving architect Norman Foster their vision for the Bow building, Encana asked that it be "fat" enough to be visible from the deep south of the city.

.... So that the janitorial team could see it from their bedroom windows in Mackenzie Town.

Or is it 'Towne'?

You obviously haven't spent much time in NE Calgary if you think the south is the area full of dumb unskilled laborers.

How can the North see downtown through all the gunsmoke and arson fire is what I'm curious about.

T2S - Elbow PArk Britannia, Mission - Southwest
T2V - Pumphill Oakridge Haysboro, Windsor park - Southwest
T3H - (Discovery Ridge / Signal Hill / West Springs /Christie Estates / Patterson / Cougar Ridge) Southwest
T2T - (Altadore / Bankview / Richmond) - Southwest
Why is T3H and T2T in brackets?

Anyway. I'd be surprised if anyone thought that the SW wasn't easily the wealthiest area. It's always been and with the proximity to and near sharing of downtown/beltline it should be

That said, just because SW and SE share one letter in their quadrant it hardly means they're comparable.

As well, the way the city is laid out now, (more of a rectangle with a funny NW top) they should almost have a NW, NE, CW, CE, SW, SE (C for central). The Central quadrant should be something like south of memorial or or 16th ave and north of glenmore.

Additionally, or instead, the north and south should be cut off at country hills blvd/bedding trail and maybe Fish creek and 130th ave. Those areas could be TFSE, TFSW, TFNE, TFNW.

Then you could say you were coming home from lethbridge and you had to go get gas in Mackenzie towne in the Too Far South East. It was a bit sketchy but at least you could stop at a dealer's house you knew. Also that was a better option than hitting up a street dealer in the Central East and taking THE Deerfoot you'd fly past the dangerous CE, the NE, stop for munchies in the Too Far North East and then have only 20 minutes left to Airdrie.

Pfft, the roughly 2.5km radius of Calgary around my home is far superior to the roughly 2.5km radius of Calgary around your home.

Interesting. Those neighbourhoods are ones I would have guessed, except for Bankview, which has tons of crappy apartments that should pull down the average. Maybe they're not in that postal code.

I actually wonder where they get the data from. I didn't report my net worth on my tax return, and I wouldn't tell it to a pollster... It seems about right, I'm just curious on their sourcing.

So how T2T have an average net worth of 949k then? I get that there are estate houses and whatnot in there as well, but one building with 20 units in it averages down a lot of single family homes.

What would the average net worth be for those living in rental apartments in Bankview? I bet it's somewhere between -50,000 and +50,000. Which makes a nearly million dollar average net worth for the area hard to believe, imo.
