One thing I've noticed about Romero is how much he struggles after the Jays put up a big inning. Something about the the extended rest between innings really effects him

It affects all pitchers. Right now Romero is struggling more then normal.

I think that's much more of a narrative then anything else. Romero has given up some really big innings this season after sitting, enough that it's concerning. His control has been much better tonight though, which is a really good sign.

I think I heard Ashby and Howarth mention earlier that Romero's record was 1-4 but his ERA was only 2.89.
