Habs are testing the water as far as interest in Alexander Semin or Tomas Plekanec. What we would like to end up with in the deal is a cheaper talented young forward and a first round draft pick. Depending who is coming back our way, we can add prospects/picks to attain the return we're looking for. No urgency in moving either of these guys, so I am happy to keep them if I don't see a deal I like.

With Hossa gone it leaves Niklas Kronwall and Niklas Backstrom (G) as our UFAs.

I will likely re sign Backstrom, and maybe Kronwall, but can move them if I get a solid return. For Backstrom I would need a starting goalie back, while for Kronwall I would need a young CPHler plus prospect.

The number 13 pick in the draft is available for a young CPHLer with upside.
