What do you think they should make?
If I was to go work for a cleaning company, they pay me $15 an hour, provide me with a car, fuel, training, cleaning products, lots of work etc. They charge upwards of $55 an hour for the work I do.
If I was to do cleaning for people privately, I pay for my car, my fuel, cleaning supplies, and I have to spend my own time getting jobs, arranging things, accounting, paperwork etc. I would not expect to get paid less than $20 an hour, considering the extra work and expenses, compared to working at a cleaning company. If they were really good, reliable, provided all their own materials etc, I would say $25 wouldn't be a huge stretch
Also, sticking your hands into random people's urine, feces, etc does command a premium over some other types of unskilled service type positions.
