Thames has at least a month left, Jays are playing it smart and making it sure they let him get a long enough chance that there will be no controversy when Snider is the starting LF. And it's hard to tell how Snider is doing considering he's hitting in Vegas and the PCL.

I had no idea JPA spoke Spanish.

KJ on board to start the inning.

He's from Miami, I think it's required by law.

Hunter has been leaving so many pitches up, surprised there's not a few more runs on the board.

At least Thames got a hit there, Escobar leads off in the 8th then instead of Mathis

It still amazes me to see how much movement he can get on his fastball while still throwing it in the mid nineties. He has the tools to be a top quality pitcher.

Jose isn't going to get out of this slump until he learns how to relax. He is angry and frustrated right from the first pitch of an at bat.

Well pretty crappy day from our hitters. Thames hits one out and then assists on the game-winning homer for the O's.

There is so much wrong with this post and it's only one sentence.

Jays need to win games against the lesser teams on a more consistant basis if they want to be in the race late in the season.

Sure thing Sally. Show some respect for your organization and dress like a professional is all I'm asking.

######ed gangster in question (hat isn't quite as crooked as it was tonight):

Tough loss last night.

I must say, the Orioles have a pretty decent offensive lineup. Their bullpen looks excellent so far this season too. With the infusion of a couple good arms in their rotation I could honestly see them being a competent team in the AL East in the not so distant future.

But of course, they're the Orioles and will find a way to screw it up.

No, they really don't It's a 162 game schedule. No idea how you post that after that take 4 from the royals, lose one against Baltimore and use the contrived storyline of how the Jays need to beat up on these teams, and if they don't sweep or win this series, they are done for.

No one said they are done for if they don't win this series. I understand the long season, but at the end of the year when you miss the playoffs by 5 games and look back at losing 2 straight early series to a team that only wins 70 games and that stings a bit. They don't need to sweep every series, but winning against Baltimore as much as possible early on will help later. Not do or die by any means, but it is important. Rather win these games now and get the buffer zone for when meet a hot, healthy Red Sox team later and maybe lose 2 of 3 but still stay close in the standings. We have no 3rd starter and 2 rookies that are doing great. It's a long season and they will probably have a bit of a slump. Need to take advantage of everything we can now.
