I still remember that as a joke we found out our friends PIN number and dropped him out of his 2 chemistry classes and put him into Russian 205 and Japanese 205.# When he finally found out we did that both the chem classes were full! hehe. He didn't talk to us for months.
|
Wow, some joke. Way to screw with your friends educational plans. If someone did that to me I'd probably fill their car with quick dry concrete.
|
screw concrete, if that was me I'd be filling it up with gasoline and a lit match! That is the worst possible thing you can do to a UofC student lol...
|
I think concrete would be more of a pain in the ass (and less dangerous) than fire, myself.
Sure, you have to call the Fire Department to put out the car but have you ever tried to jackhammer hardened concrete out of the inside of an automobile to release the emergency brake so it can be towed away?
|
oh hell no, the Fire Department will not be called if that happens, and my so called friend will be INSIDE the vehicle when it happens. [/b][/quote]
EEK! so you guys never did anything stupid when you were 17?? at least it wasn't illegal.
But i guess Karma came though in the end. He's a milllionaire and i went on to get a 0.9GPA my first semester! ahahhaha I had to see the Dean every 2nd week to give her my progress. I ended the year with a 2.9 so i had to work my ass off 2nd semester so they wouldn't boot me.
OH and i made my parents buy me an IBM PS1 computer from the Microstore so that i could do my homework(umm play tetris). It only costed $4200cdn. hahaha.

I hate registration with a passion...
especially when you need to make alterations and have to wait until at least 7:00pm to do so, and then wait in a waiting list... meanwhile you are trying to get into a restricted course, got permission from the dept. head and they forwarded your communications to someone in registrar's office, and you still can't access that class... yarrgh

I just finished. I have a pretty amazing sked, except I didn't get into a stats or economics class I wanted too. Now I have completely gone blank. What do I do when I have filled in my last course?

registration was always a pain...
What worse is being out of the country and having no access to the internet and having to have a friend try to register for you... luckily nothing went wrong

So as soon as I have plugged my last course in I am automatically registered? Wasn't there some sort of confirmation last year?

Go back on Infonet and click on Student Timetable & Fees, as long as all your courses are there and it says you have to pay $2583 or something like that (5 course load) by September 23, 2005. Then you're done. The table should list all your classes and their location, times, and prof at the bottom below the fees breakdown.
Also you can save yourself $10/semester by filling out THIS Form (Right click and save, then open and print.) Fill it out and drop it off at the Registrar's Office's box before the tuition's due in September, preferbly at least a week before.

Registration must have been different when I went to school which was only about two years ago, although not at the U of C. I remember everyone panicking about regristration I would always register late and if I didn;t get into a class I wanted, which may have happened twice at most, I just went to the registrars office and got them to add me in.
If registering would have been this hard for me I doubt I would have done it. Then again I was never found of school anyways so I probably would have looked for any excuse to get out of a semester.

I hate registering at the U.
my time ended up being at 5am for me.
woke up, and got a waiting time 1.5 hours into my scheduled time.
So I had a friend back in Canada use the phone system for me. Got most of my classes, Except for two.
One:
I'm a management minor (might go into management in my third year) and a required course for me I can't register in until the 10th of August.
Two:
I need to take a 200 level English course, and of course, the two main ones were filled up within two days of registration being open, leaving me out of luck, as the others all seem to require you to be an English major.
amazing how the can have so few English classes...

Man, I only have 4 courses left for my business degree at the U of C, my sign-up date was June 3rd, and I still only got into 2 / 4 classes I wanted.
I now have to wait until June 11th to finish my schedule. Stupid restrictions, I'm a damn senior senior there - I've paid my dues, let me sign up!
