Because they're guys? What guy's face would you want to see in your window at night?

Okay, now....task for you at home. Go downtown. See how many people you can find fitting these physical characteristics. LIke honestly, is this supposed to decrease the chances of this happening again or even significantly help determine the guy?why don't police just say an incident happened, call police if anything like this happens again and descriptions will be cross-referenced with those on file to determine if this guy is a serial perp/perv?
|
Well, it eliminates anyone dark skinned, anyone short-ish, any big or fat guys, anyone with long hair, and anyone with blue or green eyes. What do you want the police to do? Not issue the description because there are lots of 6' skinny guys with brown hair and eyes? C'mon.
There are people out there that know a guy that matches that seemingly insufficient description, who get the creeps from the individual. Hopefully those people also read the news.

Sucks they threw a Flames logo on the composite sketch. I don't want child kidnappers representing my team.

I have always wondered if we started to give these guys the death penalty would we find more of these children dead

^^Acting on their urge isn't logical, so I doubt there is a logical thought process as to whether it is "worth it"

But what stat are you talking about?
Is there a place that kills pedophiles now (western world)? Sure there are places that kill violent criminals but not for just being a pedophile? So is there a law in a western country that all pedophiles get killed so the murder rate on sexually assualted children was never effected, up or down?
Or are you comparing it to places with the death penalty as one big picture and it doesn't stop crime? Cause on that stance I do agree for violent crimes in general there is no change.

What pharmacist said mostly, crime committed by these sick #######s are not based on logic, so fear of punishment is not going to be a big factor. The same reasons that the death penalty fails to deter violent criminals is the same reason disturbed people who pray in children won't be deterred.
Believe me I know weŽd all love to hurt these #######s badly, but nothing for them is worse than being a lifetime in prison because pedophiles get treated horribly by other inmates.
Just make sure that these guys are put away for life and not released back into society.

problem is they are not put in general population. they are kept to themselves for their own protection.
I view these crimes as the worst of the worst.
