Commemorated by Nixon. How grim.

Seriously, can we stop with the whole grammer nazi bullspit for a while. Who really gives a spit, I'm not writing a paper for the Harvard review, I'm not getting graded on this and I'm not getting paid on a per post basis.

It comes across as moronic if your sitting there complaining about sentence structure etc on a forum.

Plus, how do you know that some of the posters that are firing things up here aren't english as a second language and you've just made them feel like a moron.

Hang your head in shame.

Just make a super-robust computer that's designed to last for as long as you can make it last, and dump a copy of the Internet on it.

I suppose it is fitting, though. I mean, there are few things that encapsulate the spirit of the age better than "Look at me! Look at me! Look at me!"
You could word it like that to belittle the idea, I suppose. The spirit I think of it in would be a gift to future generations. The fun part in the present time would be to exercise the height of our technology, creativity and artistic abilities. It would be great to imagine the world coming together (in this thought exercise) to build something wonderful instead of the usual stuff we devote our energy to on a daily basis like war, greed and navel gazing at old irrelevant books.

For example, instead of being a buzzkillington, your idea could have been something like this:
I wouldn't want to build something self-aggrandizing, so I would like to show the best side of humanity with this. Therefore instead of trashing this idea like a complete prick I would want to do X, Y or Z.

we're already leaving our massive landfills for the future. if anything accurately describes our current way of life, it is how wasteful and inconsiderate we are for future generations.

Wow, I'd merely thank you for it, but that's still one of my favorite sayings.

I am going to say that we already have created a monument as a society that will last pretty much forever.

The internet.

Ok, not exactly, but most of what we create here will be perfectly preserved and available for generations to come. If anyone wants to know anything about our society, there is no better place to see it than online.
