I fataing hate rain.
When you have to go somewhere and its raining when you get to the place you want to go to, you are all sticky and wet and you just feel gross.
I loved the weather just before this rain bull shinguard.
22-23 degrees
Sunny
A light breeze.

Yeah my clothes stick to my arms and legs, and it feels gross.
I just feel like crap for the rest of the day.
Rain sucks.
Get it out of here.

Just checked weather.ca, and it now says that they expect 50mm+ from Monday night to Tuesday Morning. Wow!!!
I am moving into my new house on Thursday, so I hope that things dry up a little, or it is going to be one hell of a messy move.

If the current forcast holds true...
15mm rain by this evening.
15-25mm overnight
15-25 more tomorrow morning
15-25 on top of that tomorrow afternoon.
I'm going to be swimming to and from work tomorrow.
The best part, is that they have put these stupid nylon covers over all of the storm drains around the GE5 construction area, so intersections like Elbow and 68th get flooded because water can't clear the curbs fast enough. If we get the rain they predict, I would not be surprised to see flooded roads throughout Kingsland.

Over the next 24 hours they're calling for upwards of 80mm for Calgary and 100mm or more for Kananaskis.
Hey TOTF, you should come work with us tomorrow.

Check out that sky right now. From my balcony I'm looking east and north of here (which would cover downtown) and that dark grey just looks ominous.

Nose Creek is overflowing, parts of the bike path were submerged. I think I like riding in snow better than rain. Tomorrow should be the last of it. Hopefully.

I actually can't believe that you are able to ride right now. I tried going out and was soaked in around 2 minutes and I had to keep wiping the glasses off as I couldn't see out of them. At least there were no other idiots on the bike path so I didn't have to worry about running into anyone.

Plastic bags, inside your shoes, over your socks. When all else fails.

I find that just results in further problems, in particular that of blisters and also the possibility of having a little swimming pool for your feet.

Just watched the local news and the first 5 or 6 minutes was all about "there is going to be a flood in town X, town Y, they are sandbagging in town F, the river has gone over the banks in town S, the dam has been opened in towns J and K..."
There are a few washed out underpasses here in Cowtown. The river is about 6 inches under the bridge in Okotoks and the Old Man going through Lethbridge suddenly looks like the Mighty Mississippi.
You just know the farmers are going to be saying "we had too much moisture this year..."

You can please some of the farmers some of the time, but never in matters that pertain to their farm.
However this rain is ridiculous. I think they have received more moisture than they need at one time.

Thats nothin!!
Last year when we went through the remnants of Hurricanes Francis and Ivan...we got rain fall totals of 17" and 19" repectively.
Just to put that in perspective, thats a total of 36", or 3 ft of rain, or in metric terms
914.40 millimeters.
Like nothing i had ever seen or want to see again..and that was WAY less than what fell in Florida and Alabama.
