My dad lives just up the road from the studios and there are routine accidents on the crossing all the time, often when drunk tourists think it is a good idea to be photo'd lying down in the road.
The last time I was out there I was following a line of cars behind a double decker bus down Abby Rd, we were all doing about 40 when the bus pulled up next to some parked cars to let people on, so you have 2 lanes of parked cars plus a parked bus stationary next to each other, I assumed we would stop and wait for the bus, I was wrong, at 40 mph my lane swung out around the bus as the other lane moved over and a 4 lane road managed to accomadate 4 cars and a parked bus, no one so much as slowed down as we passed each other with mm's to spare at 40!
