Copper City has really good pizza as well. I was really surprised.

Agreed....and speaking of Copper, The View at Copper Point (golf course) is a good restaurant. I'm not sure what it's like in the off season, but it's a nice atmosphere in the summer and has good food.

5-10 minute drive from the heart of Invemere

I haven't eaten there (Copper Point) but I have heard good things about the view and decent things about the food. So pretty much what you said...

I've also had a very nice dinner at the restaurant at Eagle Ranch, don't know if they are open during the winter though. Nice view from there too.

Strands is fantastic. We had a huge group in there for New Years Eve this year and everyone loved their meals.

As said before Black Forest is quite good, and the Blue Dog is a nice little cafe.

I must have missed something, because I thought Huckleberrys was an absolute hole with terrible food...but to each their own.

We stayed at Copper Point in Invermere on the August long weekend. The food at Copper Point was very good. The Black Forest was extremely average (overrated in our opinion). We had take out from Peppi's Pizzeria and it was very good. They were crazy busy. We showed up at 4:30 to place our take out order and were told it would be ready in 1 1/2 hours. When we came to pick up our order they were telling new customers that it would be over 3 hours to get their orders.

After over 100 visits to the Columbia Valley, my favourite places are:

Chinese: Windy's in Windemere
Austrian: Helna Stube's in Radium (and the best overall), though the Old Salzburg is close.
Greek: there is this shack up by the Fairmount Hot Springs that serves take out Greek food. It is excellent and cheap. They have a few tables, but it is pretty meager.

Tony's! I mentioned them a while back.

Thanks, CP - you came through. Just came back from Invermere. Had a suite at Copper Point - very nice. Had a dinner at Helna's - spectacular - truly one of the more enjoyable meals I've ever had. Had another dinner at Peppi's - also very good. And Huckleberry's proved a very solid breakfast choice.
Thanks again.
