Why complain when there's an option on this forum to block sigs?

I think the size limit for sigs is a bit too large on this board, but otherwise, I haven't seen any amazing ones.

I think that anyone who likes seeing Matt Cooke get his faced punch in would love my sig!
Therefore I win...

I win. I'd post another version of this but bigger but I can't find it.

Except that it violates the forum guidelines.
Quote:
Signatures must be no larger than 400px wide by 150px tall. Some extra text is ok, but try to keep it about that high. Signature file sizes should be about 200KB maximum, though if you have an excellent animated one that's under 1MB we may consider allowing it.

Your avatar is 550x173.
Therefore, you lose...
I don't want to turn off sigs; some are clever and pretty neat. And while Cooke getting a knuckle sandwich from Kane is awesome and an argument could be made that it should be one of the foremost reasons to keep fighting in hockey, it being oversized and then posted after every single post is overload. Just shrink it to the guidelines. Please?

ATR has made me a few and they've all been excellent. Looks like he went AWOL though, so I may be out of luck when I decide on getting a new one.

I used to report sigs all the time for being oversized and just realized that my new sig is slightly too big.
I don't care so much about the width but the height definitely needs to be enforced and that's why I've turned off sigs.
I think mine is at about 152 tall or something but I'd say a great deal of them are 200 or more.
And I think the 150 tall should count for the entire sig, not just the image. You shouldn't be able to have a sig image plus 3 quotes meaning you're probably closer to 300 or more tall.

I really enjoy making sigs (I'm actually in school to become a graphic designer). If anyone would like a custom sig I'd be more than happy to make something.

My sig was made to specifically help me promote my own company. CP has been good to me!

Wait, you have a sig but you also have them turned off?
I like mine, pretty good for zero photoshop skills.

Yup. A tad silly but it was necessary. I like having a sig for others to see (and you can see it on my profile page).
But because about half of the posters with sigs have ones that are grossly over the rules I've had to turn them off.
Until such a time that the CP as a whole, not just the mods, want to have strict guidelines and enforce them, I'll be leaving sigs off.

I still remember trying to get mine legible while staying within the guidelines. I think I blew the better part of an entire work day trying to make it work.
