Not that it should matter because getting him back to his family is most important but it's a little scary that someone from my neighbourhood and around my age, just disappears.
There are almost no details to this... we're not sure if he went somewhere on his own or what... we just want to find him. None of his friends, family, or anybody knows what is going on.

You mention he works in remote areas at times, I assume his employer is curious about his whereabouts? Do they know what site (or whatever) that he was last sent to?

So you're fairly certain his absence isn't the result of working in remote areas? He basically went missing on his day off is what you're saying.

Best of luck. Can't imagine the stress for his family. My mother gets worried if I let her calls go to voicemail. I can't imagine what it would be like in this situation.

Maybe it would help to list some places he was known to frequent, or also hobbies or activities he was involved in? Was he into hiking, or outdoors kind of actvities?...anything to give clues as to what he might have been doing that day, or where he might have went.

Getting this on social networking sites was a smart thing to do. I really hope to read about a positive conclusion to this.

Here are a couple of shots in the dark... Things you may have already thought of.

As someone who travels a lot for work, including to remote areas, it is not that uncommon for me to leave for a job site on a Sunday if I need to start Monday morning, and just spend the night somewhere.... especially if I am expecting a difficult drive. Was he expected to be somewhere Monday morning besides the office? If so, it would be worth checking the roads in those areas.

And sometimes if I am working somewhere, I will re-visit the site on the weekend if I saw some hiking trails or something that I wanted to try, or if I forgot something on site. Was he in the field at all during the last couple of weeks? It might be worth checking.

I've sent this info to a friend in Elgin who is in a business that...um...gets her around a lot. No, not that. She'll watch for him, although he's really skinny so might be easy to miss.

Have the police sent out an actual release to the press yet? They often do that when someone has gone missing for this long and that will get more attention from the Radio/TV/Newspaper outlets.

Another man is missing. This time from north Calgary. Not sure why this made the news by Stefan hasn't.

Quote:
Calgary Police are looking for Ryan Lane, who was last seen in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 7, near the 5200 block of Country Hills Blvd N.W.

Ryan’s family and friends are concerned for Ryan’s safety as it is unlike him to be out of contact with family and friends for an extended period of time. Ryan Lane has also missed several important appointments, which is also out of character.

Ryan Lane is described as a Caucasian man, 5’9″ tall, weighing 150 pounds with a slim build. He has brown eyes and brown hair and a tattoo on his right upper arm.

Anyone with information regarding Ryan Lane’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods: TALK: 1-800-222-8477 TYPE: tttTIPS.com

My family was working with the news to get it out there.

Great news, it sounds like we have a lead in this! Thank you for the support, this community kicks ass. I'm sorry for the lack of details- we didn't know much ourselves but I think the next 24 hours will be telling.

Thank you again for all the wishes and prayers it means a lot to me.
