Is it like a golden shower? I know what that is, but I didn't think my post resembled a golden shower. Maybe a Cleveland steamer, but that is expect of me at this point I would figure...

To cleanse ones self by applying only deodorant and cologne (or perfume). The French reference is in place because of the widely-held notion that the French are not fond of bathing on a regular basis.

Smelled the smoke this morning throughout our whole home and I thought some one had set a fire in our fireplace it was that strong. All the units in our complex have fireplaces so it's not uncommon to smell a bit of burning wood outside, but never in the unit itself.
As we were leaving the house this morning we saw a fire truck looping in & out of cul de sac in our area, just assumed a house had burned down. It was pretty thick smoke in Canyon Meadows this morning.
I could smell it throughout my house this morning as well.
I live in Douglasglen.
When I went outside, I could see a definite haze in the sky.
I hope the city sends an invoice to the reserve for the cost of sending fire trucks out responding to the "smell of smoke" from their "controlled burn" of a landfill.
Looked out the window this morning at 5AM and thought it was fog, that's how thick the smoke was. Couldn't believe the smell though, but it makes sense now since it wasn't just wood burning, but junk. Haven't smelled smoke that strong since Kelowna's big fire.
so the fire on the reserve is apparently a garbage pile of old construction material burning.
A reserve administrator, one kevin littlelight, says; "We did not start the fire, it was always burning since the world's been turning." Littlelight reiterated, "We didn't start the fire
no we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it."
