Not all bad....

Chicken, water, salt, sodium phosphates. Battered and breaded with: bleached wheat flour, water, wheat flour, food starch-modified, salt, spices, wheat gluten, paprika, dextrose, yeast, garlic powder, partially hydrogenated soybean oil and cottonseed oil with mono -and diglycerides, leavening (sodium acid pyrophosphate, baking soda, ammonium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate), natural flavor (plant source) with extractives of paprika. Prepared in vegetable oil (Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness). Dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent.

This story screams fake and attention whore to me with a little bit of wanting to profit.

I don't normally complain about spelling but I had to read that thread title 3 times.

How about

Perhaps she was star struck after seeing Don Gorske in "Super Size Me".

If she's still alive in 10 years and on the same diet I'm sure she'll look more like Jabba. The sickly complexion is already making it's appearance in that first picture.

So...chicken meat, water, salt...breaded with flour, spices, oil, and cooking agents to make the batter kind of crispy.

Most of those are pretty standard additives. The oil could stand to be of higher quality, but the rest are chemicals that lots of places use. The net total is a pretty salty and somewhat fatty substance, but the chemicals themselves don't create an issue. The biggest concern for me is eating a mash of chicken meat if you walk in expecting white meat.

I love when people pretend eating breaded pieces of chicken or various other McDonald's menu items makes them crap their pants.

Really, are you on a strict lentil and hemp hippie diet? Trying to eat some breaded meat ruins your digestive system?

At least the Angus burger is real beef but tops in at 790 Calories vs the inferior meat of the Big Mac which is a measily 540 Calories. Stick to eating the lower grade stuff This girl likely hasn't blimped out because a six pack of Mcnuggets is only 288 Calories so she likely has a few small unhealthy low calorie meals per day. Maybe she doesn't like the dipping sauces? When all the cold hard facts are known and how unhealthy and potentially overweight these things could make you they are easier to avoid or find better subsitutes.

Everything works down to the end result. It doesn't matter how you get there really...that's personal preference. You are suggested to get about 2000 calories and a mess of other values. The result of her alleged diet, as the article lovingly wrote out for us, actually shows a sustainable diet if she took some vitamin supplements. Complications from excess sodium aside (and honestly, this is something most people are guilty of because of the sodium levels in ALL foods), if she restricted to that same diet, it's very easy to stay perfectly healthy.

Granted, by the same assumptions, we could believe that 2000 calorie injections via carbs, some fat injections inside your stomach, and a whack of vitamin pills would legitimately keep you alive and healthy. And I'm not sure if that is 100% realistic.

Somehow being a yuppie became cool, and fast food doesn't really jive with yuppie beliefs. So therefore it became cool to rip on fast food and the mouth breathing suburbanites that use it's drivethru's. Hence people like to advance their yuppie urban cred by claiming that not only they do not eat fast food or any of it's derivatives (which is blatently false, because fast food companies seem to make money even in urban centers), but that they are so biologically yuppie that their body would not even allow for them to digest it!

A serving of McNuggets contains 11.5 grams of fat so 18% of daily value for fat and 10 grams of protein so 20% of daily value and 11 grams of carbs so 4% of daily value so if you multiply everything by 3 meals per day she is within range from a calorie, fat, protein, carb point of view. What makes the story unbelievable is to think that someone could exist on this type of eating for such a long stretch of time. Most people would be sick after a week or two of this diet. Likely why these places have to change their menu every so often I would like to see the results if she had a thing for the Angus Burger and had three of those per day.

I don't understand the hate for McDonald's. When I'm drunk off my ass at 3 AM and need to eat, they're open. I respect that.

Based on the fact that I'll be heading to California next week with half a dozen buddies to watch hockey, I'm guessing the McNugget component of my diet is about to increase substantially.

How often I poop will likely not be affected.

I know a gal who does this but is a bit better. She eats chicken nuggets and carrots, so she'll have more years of good health before it all goes to he11. Her parents say they can't do anything about it (she now 25 so now they can't) but I maintain they could when she was young and developed this horrible habit.

My kids had a choice also. Eat what we put in front of you, or go hungry. Hunger wasn't appealing so they ate. Now there is almost nothing they won't eat.
