The story arc is pretty intriguing. Was just able to catch episode 1 and I'm already hooked. Plenty of sex and violence, and it sets up the season. By the end of the episode I was totally buying Liam as Spartacus, will obviously take a couple of episodes to be totally on board, but he has been great in the role so far and the scene in the market when Lucretia and him saw each other was really well done and intense.

If you have Shaw, I'm pretty sure you can order it through VOD. Order the individual shows, not the channel.

It's not on HBO. It's on Movie Central in Canada.
As far as I know, you can only get it on demand when you're a subscriber to the channels.

Looks like you can watch the full first episode for free on the Movie Central website.
VANFLAMES: technically it's on HBO too, as Movie Central is owned by HBO. But yes, if you are on Shaw you will find it on Movie Central.

Andy looked the part better than this new guy and yeah, he'll be missed, but I wouldn't describe him as a hell of an actor.
just my opinion though.

Very good point. I still think he was a better actor than Liam thus far and filled the role much better.
I really like Manu Bennett and probably will be the guy who carries the show until Liam makes his transition.
Plus Bennett looks like Rob Gronkowski haha

Wow, episode 5 was just complete win. One of the best episodes of the series.
Can't believe they're only at episode 5, still got 8 to go. This season is really moving along.

I agree...Episode 5 was pretty good.
I didnt think they could up the blood content in this program, but holy cow they must have a helluva budget for fake blood.

I read there is only 10 episodes this season, so actually they are already half way through the season.
I am just happy Gannicus is back, as they really needed a lead to replace Whitfield's brotastic, scenery chewing traits. McIntyre has done a decent job replacing Whitfield, but he does not have near the same screen presence or persona to match the original Spartacus.
The special effects of the coliseum collapsing were a tad weak to say the least, but it was a great episode otherwise.

Best death scene I've ever seen this week. It shocked both my brother and me, and that's not easy to do.

I saw your post and was like "no way the top the death from Gods of the Arena, the one where the guy's skull splits into 4 pieces", then they go ahead and cut someones face clean off.
Insanely awesome!!

Plenty of gore this past episode, bones from arms, guys head got twisted backwards, plenty of slit necks and blood.
Also, I'm really enjoying Liam as Spartacus.

The budget was certainly there for the violence, gore, and skin. They are not relying solely on CGI alone which is nice to see. Usually when you are this far into the season the "loving" dies down in these types of shows but not in this season!
May the fantasy show continue!
Actually, I am amazed nobody has tried to emulate Spartacus. Starz tried with that King Arthur debacle but that was such a poor show all around and after the third or fourth episode I dropped it off the watch list.

Just watched the latest 2 episodes last night and MAN was it awesome. I am not a huge fan of Spartacus' chicky with all the pouting, if she gets offed soon I won't be too concerned.
