Yup, I do. I don't like most HTC designs. I hate the little light grey oval at the top. Don't know the exact dimensions of it, but it looks pudgy as well.

Screen pure crap? Better resolution than SG2's SuperAmoled+. SG2 is better in direct sunlight (Sensation is readable just fine) I give you that and it has....rich black color...and what else?

Resolution means nothing. Look at the qHD screen on the XT860 for example. Horrendous. I'd bet $1,000 that 9 out of 10 random people in a line would take the GS II's WVGA screen over the Sensation.

Mali 400 is the GPU to beat and that is undeniable. End of discussion there. Heavier skins like Sense intefere with the OS more than a light skin, or no skin, that's just logic. But I love this statement that you just quoted:

Given that it out-paces the popular Samsung Galaxy S2 in terms of pure CPU speed, the Sensation XE is the obvious choice for those Android users who relish being at the front of the smart phone pack.
I suspect you're the kind of person that will think the 16 megapixel camera in the new HTC Titan will be better than the 8 megapixel camera in the iPhone 4S, because 16 > 8.

Haha nice jab, but from what I wrote, I think it's clear that I'm the kind of person who doesn't care if Mail 400 is "faster" or 16megapixels "better" as it's pretty clear from user point of view these differences are neligible. It's like the debate whether i5 is better than i7 or vice versa. Unless you are projecting satellite orbits on your laptop, you will not notice a difference.

You still didn't tell me what should I hate about HTC Sense. Interferes with OS? How does that affect me? Serious question. What do I gain if I get rid of it?

Sensation's screen has pretty damn good reviews too.

The screen is bright enough outside, with excellent viewing angles, and very good 256ppi pixel density, achieved with the traditional RGB matrix, as opposed to the PenTile arrangement of some Motorola qHD displays, for example. Text appears crisp and the colors are vivid. One advantage of the Super LCD tech of the screen is that it is usually very well calibrated and white appears almost spot on (~6500K), instead of cold blueish like on Super AMOLED displays.

"The Sensation XE's screen is fantastic"

http://geekaphone.com/compare/Apple-...tion-XE#screen

Some people prefer Amoled, and that's fine, but calling Sensation screen crap is well...crap.

Super AMOLED also uses less power so there is that as well.

I like HTC sense but it's a major resource hog, touchwiz is a better but the best is still custom room such as CM7/9

New phones obviously are better, but with my Galaxy S Captivate (yes, older now) I find that launchers simply slow the phone down. I've tried all of them and found that the stock launcher just allows the phone to be faster and more responsive. Makes sense when you don't have a bunch of third party stuff loaded, the phone would be faster.

Meh.

If you install a custom ROM, plus a custom launcher, it works pretty good.

My phone gets slow after a while because there are apps running in the background that have no reason to be running. I wish there were an easier way to kill them, and make them stay dead unless I use them.

ICS has that option I think.

not if you use Titanium Backup to freeze the stock launcher. i have 3rd party apps for the launcher, browser, camera, and messaging client, and all the stock apps are frozen in TB so that they don't show up in the apps list and can never suck up resources

Sense is framework, a Sense kernel, Sense processes running in the background. Not just a launcher.

True, but not rooted. Pretty sure you need root in order to use that feature. Simply haven't bothered to root since upgrading to Gingerbread. I've been pretty happy with the performance of the phone, haven't "needed" any root feature and the stock launcher seems to work pretty decent without any hiccups.

I have nothing against HTC. I have a Nexus One sitting on my desk here and it's probably the best phone HTC has ever made.
