Going to run a Marathon. Only race I ever ran was a 10k this past summer in 57 minutes. Hoping to run 3:30 or at least below 4hours.

I signed my husband up for a full marathon this fall....
Oh, wait. This is my goal? I'd like to do the Mount Royal Sprint Tri again and shave 10 minutes off (with a decent bike, I might have a shot)

I am serious, at the World Sledge Challenge one of the Norway players broke his neck, from para to quad, just like that. Fataing hell I don't want that, I also don't want to be a fat lazy wheelchair bound alcoholic coke head having 12 volts push me around all day, sucking off the government teet.
In summation, I do not want to jeopardize my health any further, and this year I want to see how far I can go with my athletic pursuits.

1) First Muay Thai fight (I've done a couple MMA fights, but not straight Muay Thai)
2) Run 10km in sub-40 (I've done 42 minutes before)
3) Get my Butterfly back to my old racing times (I'm about 10 seconds off my old times)

Break 80 on the golf course. So close last year (81).

I plan on jogging every morning, changing up my diet, and long boarding every day. Goal is to lose 20 pounds by March 18th. Should be pretty easy living on a tropical island.

Well looks like I achieved my goal all ready. Here is some back story. Last may I downloaded the runkeeper app and decided to try it out. I ran 5k in 26 mins. That was the longest run I had done. At the end of the 5k I couldn't breath.
Monday I decided I should start running as my wife had backed out of a half marathon in Phoenix and we couldn't get a refund. Me being cheap I decided I would run it. I went out and ran a quick 4 k to see how I would feel and got a time of 20 mins. I felt good and then went and played tennis right after.
Last night I went out to try and do 10k to get me closer to the half marathon amount. For lunch I decided to eat 4 pieces of pizza and at 3 I had 2 beers and some chicken wings. Apparently this is my magical energy food. While I was out trying to do the 10k something took over and I suddenly had the urge to try and run the full 21k.
I ended up running 20.84 kms (I misjudged my route a bit) in a time of 1 hour and 53 mins. http://runkeeper.com/user/188836710/activity/65086068
I am still shocked I did this as I hate distance running. I am glad I was able to do it now I will have lots of confidence going into the Phoenix half marathon knowing that I can run 21k.

Be less fat!
Starting with hockey tonight, hopefully the inevitable sucking wind throughout the 3rd period will motivate me back to the gym and down about 25-30 pounds by the time flag football season starts end of May.

- Try Crossfit (anyone have any recommendations/experience with it?)
- Maintain current weight/lose the stubborn belly fat that WILL NOT go away no matter what I do...
- Do more yoga
- Become a faster runner. I am absolutely the worst distance runner there is. I think I am fairly fit, but I am much more of a high intensity intervals kind of gal. My 5km time is something north of 30 minutes I'd like to get that down to at least 27-28.

Get into post-apocalyptic fighting fit by sometime in early December...
I want to do the Golden Triangle by bike this summer and an imperial century. 100 miles by bike in one day.

And you only need two more minutes improvement to beat Sarah Palin.
