wow 3 tiebreaks, I was just able to catch the end.

Milos' 2nd career title, 250 ATP points and $71,900 and moves up to 24th in the World.

I don't see him in any schedule's this week. Looks like a deserved week off before the Australian Open where he will have to defend the points from his 4th Round appearance last year.

Interesting fact I found on Twitter:
The @milosraonic 35 aces 5th-most in #ATP final since '91. #Federer hit 50 in '09 @Wimbledon final. MR hit 76 aces & not broken in 48 gms.

Now I can't wait for the Australian Open!
His biggest problem was consistency. He could take out a top 10 player but then lose to a guy who is ranked like at 200. However, he found some consistency this year and fished at #9. So, I'm looking forward to see what he can do this season. He got married last year and according to some reports, has been training harder than ever for this season.

As a Serb, a country that has 7 million people, to have 2 players that are in the top 10 means a LOT. Over here, Djokovic is like a God!

It was an amazing match, too bad Janko didn't win, but I'm not to upset Milos won, I kinda like that guy.

On another note, how is Canada doing at DC? I would abspolutely love for Serbia to draw Canada sometime. Sentimental reasons.

Play has started after about a 3 hour delay.

Pospisil will be 3rd on this court. Australian Open website is showing it.

Milos is currently 66-1 to win the aussie open.

To put that in perspective, that makes him the 8th most likely to win.

Djokovic 2.40
Federer 5.81
Murray 6.16
Nadel 6.85
Tsonga 19.25
del Potro 19.75
Berdych 53.50
Raonic 66.00

Three Canadians won

Pierre-Ludovic Duclos(CAN) def. Facundo Bagnis(ARG)[28]
6-3 1-6 6-4

Vasek Pospisil (CAN) [9] def. John Millman (AUS)
3-6 7-6 6-2

Peter Polansky (CAN) def. Simone Vagnozzi (ITA)
6-3 6-2

Chvojka was down 5-1 in the 3rd set when play was suspended. That sucks

1st round continues Thursday, 2nd round will be played Friday.

--------------------------------------------------

There are no Canadian women in qualfying. Marino, Dubois and Wozniak will all be in the main draw

That would be epic.

I think Canada could upset France. It would be really difficult but I feel Raonic definitely has enough to take out Tsonga and Monfils. However, Nestor would need to win his match.

Pospsil lost in straight sets to Ball

Duclos lost in 3 sets

but Polansky won in straight sets!

Polansky has one more match tomorrow against Danai Udomchoke of Thailand to get into the main draw.

First Grand Slam of the year is almost underway (at 5pm on TSN2)

No Canadians in action today, they will all be in action tomorrow (Raonic, Marino, Wozniak and Dubois)

Anyone want to make predictions?

Men: Will it be Djokovic or not Djokovic?

Women: Will Wozniacki finally win a grand slam?

I would really like to see Fed win one more slam. He won the finals tournament in England so maybe that will give him some confidence going into the Oz open. I heard that he's having back trouble so that could play a factor going into this open. Still, if I was to put money on it I would bet that Joker wins it all.
