He's so ronery now.

Any transition opens the possibility of North Korea joining the rest of the world but one suspects the generals won't be so eager to give up what is generally a criminal enterprise disguised as a country.

In honor of the Great Leader, I'm going to rewatch the Vice guide to North Korer.

The son who is next in line is a known hard liner. A boy in his fathers mold. So I would not hold hope he will be any better.

The military runs that country, not any Kim Jong whoever. The guy is a Puppet and figure head for a brutal army regime. The army very well may have picked the son who would help out their cause the best.

Really that country is a small crooked army run state that exists to lavish a very small part of the population on the backs of the many. IMO, all in all I think this N.Korea is far worse than Iraq was, based on the mental warping and punishment these evil men put on their country.

As for invasion? Forget it, these guys can have missiles lobbed into Seoul in minutes, wipe it off the map. Then what happens to the world economy when the top Asian country outside of China loses it's top city, and much of its population?

So the US will continue to feed the N.Koreans by hand, and hope they stop building nukes, and selling arms to terrorists. It would be great if China would step to the plate and sit these guys, but they won't for many reasons.

Sad to say this is probably not the day for things to get better for the N.Korean people. In fact, it could conceivably get worse.

I love how it always takes a day for communist countries to announce the death of their leaders. So they can rehearse everything correctly, people dressed in black, the miliary band rehearsing the right song, the tv reporter faking tears ... what a production!

If North Korea decides to invade, they will be through the Korean peninsula and into Japan before the west is able to mobilize. They won't do it now, because it is "inconvenient" for the Chinese, who are stepping on the North Korean leash.

I can't believe Kim Jong Il and Harry Morgan went in the same year.

I hope this means they allow tourists to travel, I hear Kijŏng-dong is beautiful this time of year. The locals are very friendly.

Kim Jong Il and Vaclav Havel on the same day. Talk about two extremes at once.

And yet the amount of actual change, and the direction it will take, remains unknown in many cases.

That's hilarious! If you hadn't told me I would have thought it was a pieced together comedy skit using real footage and over the top actors.
