It doesn't look like its all about zombies. Pit against other humans is the whole basis of dystopia entertainment ie Book of Eli, the Road, etc.

If ND is going for realism here, they understand that in a zombie apocalypse, the zombies are the least of your worries.
Good Catch, looks like they might be going down that path where Zombie's are not your only worry but also the thugs and looters.

First thing I thought of was "Dead Island" but then, as mentioned above, "I Am Legend". Looks like a pretty cool idea, I know zombies have been done to death (ha!) but a fresh take on an over-used genre is not always a bad thing.

I thought Dead Island too, but it looks more like what Dead Island would have been had they used that awesome trailer as the base of the project. Instead it was used as a marketing tool, and while fantastic, it didn't represent the game at all imo.

I agree that zombies are starting to saturate, but there doesn't seem to be too many games that take a serious approach to the topic, or one that focuses on the drama of the situation.
