Just wait until they get older.

I've noticed that I get along way, way better with people who are 10 years my junior vs 10 years my senior (16 vs 36). Many of my friends are still teenagers. That doesn't seem as weird as it used to.

I started to feel grown up once I realized that I could not keep myself awake past midnight on a Friday night, and couldn't sleep in past 8:30 on a Saturday morning.

Age is party a mental thing IMO. I have a career and a mortgage, but I still feel like a kid quite frequently.

I only get along with people who owned and operated one of these as a kid:

I get along with people about 5-15 years older than me as all my cultural references and preferences are about a decade older than myself whether it's music, movies, television, trends, fashion, technology, toys, videogames, art, literature, magazines, style, etc. Everybody calls me an old man in a young man's body.

I think our generation is a bit screwed up. Our rites of adulthood never really happened. We all grow up still playing with videogames and watching cartoons into adulthood.

Maybe we needed to go to war or something. For me, the transition to adulthood started when I realized I had to stop wasting time and focus on my career development.

I don't actually play videogames. I just talk about them. Saves me lots of time. I haven't owned a gaming console for 10 years. Also, it's only 43 posts.
