9/10 on ign

8.5/10 for gamespot

More of the same by the sounds of it...but multiplayer best it has been.

Looking forward to playing kill confirmed mode

Sounds like a decent amount of changes and different game modes in this one:

I'll get it eventually
One thing I liked with Black Ops was that kill streaks actions didn't contribute to further kill streaks (ie MW2 get Harrier, the Harrier kills 2 people to unlock PaveLow, that kills people for you and unlock chopper gunner). In Black Ops, you actually had to do the killing to progress up the kill streaks

Liking the new Strike packages since it was annoying when I was the only one trying to capture or defend the flag while everyone was running around trying to rack up kills.

Haha
Multiplayer is great...still getting used to the setup vs. Black Ops, but so far I've managed to keep my KDR above 1.
So far the single player is a little repetitive, but still entertaining.
Definitely not going to be spending much time on the story.

Heh..

**Disclaimer: I have enjoyed the CoD single player games and would probably like multiplayer as well if I had time to play them all, this is not a BF3 vs MW3 flamewar arrow!

I always play through the story before I start multiplayer. I find that it helps me get back into the controls since I usually don't play COD for a while before the new one comes out.

I love COD, but I don't think there's a lot of competition between BF3 and MW3 in terms of visuals and environment.

I do in MW2 and Black Ops, but after about an hour of story I got a little bored.
I've been playing lots of Black Ops, so it wasn't much of a transition.
Multiplayer is definitely what makes this game.

that's what you get when a company re-uses the same engine for each new rendition of their games. COD really is a sports game franchise at heart

Since the topic is bound to come up - What is the difference real between CoD and BF? I played a few of the BF series, but never tried CoD.

so i have a question for anyone to provide an opion on.....my 9 yr old son has requested that i buy this game, so that we could play it. I have bought the last couple of versions of COD and played it myself - he knew i had it, but i would never really play it when he was around.

based on comments i have heard from his friends, most of them seem to be playing it - but who knows if that is just talk or what.

i should also note that we limit our kids video game playing to friday after school util ssunday at 5 and days when they are out of school......

to me ... COD fan for years , BF3 was my first BF game. COD is more run and arcade action. battlefield seems to have more strategy involved. Plus BF has all those damn choppers, airplanes, tanks etc... Both are fun just different.

Yes I was one of those nerds out there last night OccupyingFutureshop so I made sure I would get the hardened edition. But I spent 1230-330 playing the campaign last night and while it might of been a little repetitive with the other MW's I havent had so much fun playing a campaign, Im not sure what got me into it so much but I throughly enjoyed it and plan on finishing it before I even think about multiplayer. just my .02$

I only paid $40 for hte game in the first place. Think I might play the campaign, trade this in, and stick to BF3 for the multiplayer experience.

What's the point in only having MW3 for 14 days?
The main focus of the game is multiplayer, giving it almost infinite replayability.

How does a game franchise with numerous expansions on the same engine that also has infinite replayablity, sell so many copies of each release?

Either you are wrong or people are severely mentally handicapped.
