wow I'm surprised you threw yourself into this so quickly. Reflowing is sort of a last resort option to get all the traces and solder to reflow back together and is commonly used to fix videocards, xbox motherboards, etc. and will work for laptops but I would have done some research or try some other things first.

I feel a little bad for suggesting it now, I thought you would have taken your time a little more

You cannot glue components back on, but solder paste may help. Components will self-align.

No need to feel bad.

I did do lots of research before attempting it. Saw various videos on time and temp etc.

I'm almost positive it is a motherboard issue because of the aforementioned 'bending'. I used to have to squeeze the area surrounding the power supply to turn it on etc.

This will also be an interesting motherboard to try soldering with for the first time. I have another one that I"ll use to get the hang of temps and stuff, but this will be a great practice one for connections. I don't think it's hooped at all, as best I can tell, nothing melted (or came close to it) other than some of the compound holding the components on. I also foolishly put it the oven in what I would now call 'upside' down, but then called 'right side up' causing me to lose a couple of things to gravity.

At this point, it's a 6 year old laptop that I haven't used in 3 years, and I was able to repair to an existence that was more alive than it was previously. I think that's a great result so far.

Right now, this is all about keeping my mind busy. I can barely do anything that requires standing or bending for any prolonged period of time, so being able to sit and figure this out has been great. Two days have flown by without me even realizing it. I really do appreciate the help.
