What does having your name have anything to do with it? Drunks/idiots/Canucks fans are just going to dial you anyways to try and get in.
My experience with condo boards is to try to not piss them off whenever possible.

Kind of sketchy to have to put your full first and last name. Shouldn't visitors know the name of the person they are visiting? Personally, I would refuse to do so and good luck trying to force it out of me.

Actually, now that I dig a bit deeper, it seems that your name is not included OR excluded by any legislation that I can find. As so... you may have a small leg to stand on with this from the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA):
5 (3) An organization may collect, use or disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider are appropriate in the circumstances.
So I suppose that your arguement would have to be that it is unreasonable for the Condo Board to disclose to the public, by way of publishing it on the tenant list, your name (which may or may not be considered 'personal information').
Sticky issue I think, but I'm sure that if enough of you object, they will probably back down.

I kind of think it is a security matter listing full first and last names. In our last condo it was initial of first name and then last name. People also had the choice of occupied. I would be leary if I was a female having my name on a list on public display, especially if I lived alone. To me that is a security risk and probably the board could be held liable if people are forced by the board and someone breaks in because they know the occupant is female.
Not to far fetched of a scenario. I would at least bring that up to the condo board so they know there mght be a liability.

I don't believe that your name is considered something that needs to be considered private. But your address is. By publishing your name on the directory, they would be sharing your address.
I would recommend calling the office Alberta Privacy Commissioner. They are very good at helping you out and what your options for proceeding are. Info here: http://www.oipc.ab.ca/pages/home/default.aspx

It's been a while since I lived in a place with an intercom, but back then you didn't have to use your apartment number. You could be in apt. 401; but the number on the intercom could be 89.
At the very least, that is something the OP can insist on.
