The smartest thing that I've heard so far, is that X-box will release Halo 3 on the same day as the PS3. A game like that can totally screw over PS3 sales.

I bought the PS2 on the day it was released. Forutnately I got it from Canadian Tire where I worked and was able to use my staff discount, plus all my Canadian Tire money that I had saved up from using the Gas Bar all the time, so I only paid $130 for a maching that was sold for $400. However this time around, I'll wait a year or two for the price to drop on both consoles. XBOX 360 may be good, but I'll probably stick with Sony.

That would be a good idea, but most launch titles tend to suck.
I would be surprised if they launched with such a big game.
The other factor that would sway me is that GTA is not a PS exclusive. Although very late, the GTA games do eventually come out on X-box, so Buying an X-box 360 could get you Halo3 and a new GTA down the road.
